Today Teacher's day.
I Know this this by today evening only (by a mail).
It was really a happy moments, when we were participating in the celebrations of the Teachers day.
When i was a child, two - three days before to the teachers day we used to plan for the day.
By collecting funds from all of our classmates, we used to purchase gifts to all of our teachers(even though not interested to give for some of the teachers).
On teachers day, there was a snacks party along with teachers.Of course before that there is a looong lectures of the teachers.we used to sit there with a patence.(we dont have another option when we were in the scooling)"Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu","Acarya devobhava...", like this slogans was there....
When we came to college days (Degree), little bit modern and less participence of students.there is some funds from management, and decoration also will do by peons.Even though less physical strain, at that time no one was intested to participate into those functions.Might the the relationships between Lecturers and students like that. And We are at teenage stage, which wont give a chance to listen elders."We are Youth Now". we were not listening to parents, then how will we listen Gurus. ;).
When we came to P.G. days, we have given drinks party for some of our lecturers(we need some another favour behind this).
Now a days life is going mechanical, there is no alternative other than Office - Room.If we kept a side, whether we was interested or not to listen those prolonged speches from teachers, we really enjoyed a lot, for giving such an importence to those techers, especially if we are interested with a particular teacher, or a fovourite to ours.
Hmmmmmm.... now there is no chance to enjoying those moments.If time permits, i want to meet atleast once those teachers who gifted me such a good life.
